Hi Gary!

You are simply not doing what the question is asking you to do.

Firstly, it asks you to declare a constant named name and assign it your name:

let name = "Gary"

Then, it asks you to create a constant named greeting with an interpolated string:

let greeting = "Hi there, \(name)"

In the second tasks it asks you to use string concatenation:

let finalGreeting = greeting + "How are you?"

Overall the solution to both tasks should like like this:

let name = "Gary"
let greeting = "Hi there, \(name)."
let finalGreeting = greeting + "How are you?"

Essentially you are using different constants to create sentences both with string concatenation and interpolation.

I think it would be best to rewatch the video to increase your understanding, perhaps writing things down, and then just try again!
