Codes from this lecture doesn't work in my "Eclipse" workspace.

and I keep getting this error message "java.lang.NullPointerException"

Codes I tried to run were these:

import java.io.Console;

public class TreeStory { public static void main(String[] args) { Console console = System.console();

    String name = console.readLine("Enter your name:  ");
    String adjective = console.readLine("Enter an adjective:  ");
    console.printf("%s is very %s", name, adjective);

I've googled about this matter several times but I couldn't solve it.
