Coding is messed up.

What is wrong with my code I do not understand why it does not work.

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

  margin: auto;
}

.main-nav li {
  display: block;
  width: 200px;

}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>

    <body>
    <div class="container">
        <header>
            <img class="logo" src="city-logo.svg" alt="An illustration of a building">
            <ul class="main-list">
                <li><a href="#">Donuts</a></li>
                <li><a href="#">Tea</a></li>
                <li><a href="#">Coffee</a></li>
            </ul>
        </header>
    </div>

.main-list li {display: block}

adds a line-break.

.main-list li {display: inline-block}

does not. Since you want them to be on one line you don't want a line-break.

Hi James!

This passes all three tasks:

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

header {
  text-align: center;
}
.logo {
  display: block; /***  Task 3  ***/
  width: 60px;
  margin: auto;
}

.main-list,     /***  Task 2  ***/
.main-list li {  /***  Task 1  ***/
  display: inline-block;
  width: 60px;   /***  Leave these  ***/
  margin: auto; /*** As they are ***/
}

I hope that helps.

Stay safe and happy coding!
