Common multi-plugin problems? (jQuery)

You said in this video that there are lots of ways that two plugins might cause problems for each other. This one seemed pretty trivial and easy to find (the z-index one). Are there any reasonably common issues when using multiple plugins that are a bit harder to detect? Dave McFarland if you had an issue integrating multiple plugins, what (after z-index) would be the first thing you'd check?
