Compiling on my mac not working!

Here is my console stuff... /users/bigbenhornet/Desktop/cool.java:1: cannot find symbol symbol : class console location: package java.io import java.io.console; ^ /users/bigbenhornet/Desktop/cool.java:5: cannot find symbol symbol : class Console location: class cool Console console = system.console(); ^ /users/bigbenhornet/Desktop/cool.java:5: cannot find symbol symbol : variable system location: class cool Console console = system.console();

Hi Anthony,

are you using an IDE like IntellyJ or Eclipse?

Then Console class is not working properly in IDE ...

run the same program in the treehouse workspace. while creating the object of console -->

Console console = System.console();

remember S in the word system is Capital S in System
