computer requirements

hello, I have been using a chromebook to work with no problem. I was wondering what the recommended OS and computer hardware is.

It ultimately depends on what you're doing. I don't think I would recommend ChromeOS for anything simply because it's so restrictive. When I used ChromeOS, you couldn't install a text editor on it at all, which meant you just couldn't do any development work. I hear that's changing, though, so it might be fine nowadays

If you're planning on doing iOS development, you'll need a Mac, and a fairly recent one at that. The oldest I'd go is probably a MacBook Pro from 2015.

Beyond that, you can use just about whatever system you want to. Make sure it isn't too underpowered (I'd look for at least a dual core processor and 8 GB of RAM), but you can make just about whatever on just about whatever system
