PHP Build a Simple PHP Application Adding a Contact Form Working with Concatenation and Whitespace

Concatenation

Why do we use format of $firstname.$secondname and use $fullname = $firstname."".$lastname; echo $fullname;

In the later one, why we used "" between two variables?

1 Answer

$first_name = "Ammar";
$last_name = "Khan";
$full_name = $first_name.$lastname;
// This will result in AmmarKhan with no space in between the first name and last name
// However if we write it as below
$full_name = $first_name." ".$last_name; // will result in Ammar Khan

hope that helps
