Console doesn't read myTextInput

Hi! I've followed all the steps in the video and when I go to the browser (chrome, in my case), I open the console and I type in:

myInputText

It says Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'value' of null at <anonymous>:1:12

Help?
