replace <response> with %s then add ', response' at the end of your printf string. So it will look like this:

console.printf("Because you said %s, you passed the test!", response);

Since you have the users input as the variable 'response' and you are using printf you can use string interpolation:

console.printf( "Because you said %s, you passed the test!", response);

%s will be replaced with the response variable
