I am not able to figure out the difference between updating constraints and updating frame size. Please help!

Well, updating constraints means that the size of the view itself doesn't need to change, you only update the constants of the constraints. If you change the frame size of a view you actually change the view's size. I hope that makes it at least a little clearer.
