Could not drag items from Palette to Design View in Android Studio

Hi, I'm in the second track of Android where I'm learning how to create an interactive story app. In one of the lessons, I need to drag an ImageView to the design window but am unable to do so. I really do not know why but I have a feeling it's because I am in CustomView (in the component tree). Can someone please help me how to get past this? Thanks in advance!

Hi Ben,

Thanks for replying but I think I figured it out already. I'm not sure if this is going to affect the rest of the program but I refactored CoordinatorLayout with RelativeLayout and I'm able to drag items again to the design view. Again, thanks for your time! =)
