...I did that...still doesn't work please help!

While /> is used to close off a with no content inside (only the tag and attributes, called self-closing or singleton tags), tags with content such as values, text, or nested tags need to be closed with matching closing tag where the tag name is preceded with a /. For example: <color>blue</color>
