CSS Framework Basics Build a Website with Bootstrap Adding the Video Modal and Footer

Course can be confusing

If you don't re-download the project files for every video, you end up missing a lot of added code. Sometimes Guil mentions code he has added, but a lot of the time he doesn't. This ranges from small CSS styles to entire functionality from Bootstrap (I downloaded the project files 3-2.zip from the bootstrap customization video which didn't include the functionality to build the video modal). I think a quick note or mention that a lot of things can change in the project code from video to video would clear up some confusion.

I found the course confusing as well. Unfortunately no small yellow pop ups for me to find Workspaces for the videos. In many times I found that some code that Guil uses in the video and the code in Downloads - Project files is a bit different and then results in small bugs that I have to work out. I agree with Robby Flair - it should be made clearer what's added to the code.

Hey Robby Flair,

Perhaps we have different browsers, but once I begin a new video there's a small popup in yellow stating that there's a new Workspace available for the video (which would in turn mean there's new download material available). Have you seen what I am referring to?

I did not notice that, but thanks for the response!

At the time of my viewing (9-22), I did not notice the yellow box. However, even when Workspace is available I do the lessons in Notepad++ so I know that I have them and can refer back to them. I usually c&p the files from Workspace into N++ unless there are files I can't get that way, like image files. As far as downloading all the lessons and working that way, it is a hassle, but at least you have all the steps broken down and intact.
