Creating the MVP - Current Progress challenge

I'm stumped on this. Can someone help me out? With my current code I'm counting all the tiles, not just the matches. My code might be way off, I think this has fried my brain. Thanks.

ScrabblePlayer.java
public class ScrabblePlayer {
  private String mHand;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    mHand = "";
  }

  public String getHand() {
   return mHand;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
    // Adds the tile to the hand of the player
    mHand += tile;
  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
   return mHand.indexOf(tile) > -1;
  }

    public int getTileCount(char tile){
    int tileCount = 0;

    for (char letter : mHand.toCharArray()){
      tileCount++;
    }
      return tileCount;
    }
}

You are on the right way, but the question is ask to find all the letter same as the tile, the function should be like following:

public int getTileCount(char tile){
    int tileCount = 0;

    for (char letter : mHand.toCharArray())
            if (letter == tile)
                    tileCount++;

      return tileCount;
}
