danish keyboard - tilde

Hi, I'm from Denmark and I have a danish keyboard. In the terminal, I can't write tilde in the program. I also had problems when I was working with the ruby console. I could not write {} [] in the console. I would really appreciate if someone could help me.

You should always use an English keyboard to do programming. No excuses.

(Sorry if I sound mean, but trust me: it is much, much easier.)

On the English keyboard, you press the Shift key and the ` key (which is below the esc key) at the same time. This will make the ~ symbol.

The English keyboard has the [ and ] characters next to the \ character. To make { or }, you just press shift and press [ or ] at the same time.
