The instructions say, "Make a new variable named var_one that is either a list or a string." It looks like you want to make it as a string, but the parentheses indicate you are calling it as a function instead of defining it as a variable.

You probably want an equal sign ("=") between the name and the value in quotes to create and assign the variable.
