I am trying to solve this exercise can somebody help me


function valid_sql_date($date) {
    //add code here
  $datex = explode("-",$date);

  if( strlen($datex[0] != 2) ||
     strlen($datex[1] != 2) || strlen($datex[2] != 4) ||
   return true;
    return false;

You are checking the date parts backwards. The date that is supplied to you is in this format: "YYYY-MM-DD". Simply switch $datex[0] with $datex[2]
