datetime reformatting working datetime

I am working on my project. I am using datetime, and i was wondering if i could change the format of it while working on it. because i haves all the dates to my datebase as yyyy/mm/dd and i was wondering if i could change the default output to dd/mm/yyyy without using format or strftime because i have to retype the format everytime i print it

ps. I would like to not have to have it as a string, and then call it and turn the string into a datetime object again
