DDL and DML

What is the main difference between data definition language and data manipulation language?

1 Answer

DDL applies to the structure of the database, DML applies to the data which goes inside. It's a bit like DDL refers to the structural layout of a house and DML to the furniture in each room.

I appreciate the real world relational to the DB theories. Thanks!
