CSS Framework Basics Build a Website with Bootstrap Building the Navbar

different version of bootstrap than the one in the tutorial video

Hi guys,

So sorry to be such a pain... (again!) when going through the tutorial with guil, it appears hes using an older verson than the one that I'm downloading and trying to customize at the moment.

Some conpnents are either different or not showing than they are in the video, Will have this any effect when I'm going through the rest of the course or can I just use the project files, download them and just follow along with the video as per normal?

Sorry to be a pain and ask such a stupid question.

Any help would be great

Hi Richard!

It shouldn't affect you too much as all of the features Guil is using will be available in the later versions. However, they might be used in a slightly different way so if you can't get it working maybe look at the documentation on the Bootstrap Site.

Don't worry, you aren't being a pain and the question isn't stupid. Everyone needs some assistance at some point and this was a perfectly valid question.

Hi Luke thanks for the replay. I have just watched through the "building the navbar" video and it doesn't affect it at all. Sometime I just done have patients and maybe I should of watched the video and go through the steps lol.

I will just carry on as it seems to be working perfect so far... :)

Really having fun, I know all there is to know about wordpress but I just wanted to get to grips with bootstrap because some of the clients at the graduate job I have just got want sites to be built in Bootstrap, so it gives me a another tie to my bow if that makes sense
