Div elements

Why are there so many div elements used in these tutorials and not the HTML 5 structure ?

1 Answer

The reason bootstrap uses so many <div> elements is that they are generic elements, they can be styled easily, and it makes bootstrap more compatible with older browsers (which may not register HTML5 elements/tags).
