Div Width/Padding Question

"Currently, the width of the div with the class main is set to 400px, but the padding applied is adding an extra 40 pixels to its total width. Add a property that forces the padding into the width of the div."

I'm not sure exactly what it is asking and how to accomplish this?

By default, the width of the div does not include the padding, border and margin widths.

If you set the box-sizing property to border-box, the width you choose for the div will include padding and border widths.

It asked to use the box-sizing attribute and set it to border-box so it calculates correctly the extra-padding:

.main {
    box-sizing:border-box;
}
