Do i need to learn how to create a website from scratch?

Hello i am currently taking front end web dev class. As i finished the html basics and about to finish the css basics. I tried to make a simple html and css personal website but it seems to be very hard to make a website from scratch. How do i learn to make a website from scratch? Appreciate the feedback.

Thank you so much for your feedback enlightened me. My dream is to be a front end developer and be able to make websites as a living. Yes, i’ll do the hardway instead. I will finish the front end web dev track. I’ll keep practicing html and css coding until i’ll be able to master it before i do javascript programming.
