do while loop doesn't work Java

I don't know why it doesn't seem to run

Example.java
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.
String response;
do {
    response =console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?");
    if ( response.equalsIgnoreCase = ( "no" ))
}  while ( response.equalsIgnoreCase = ( "no" ))

You can eliminate the if statement since it doesn't do anything but need to remove the = from the equalsIgnoreCase method

String response;
do {
    response =console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?");
}  while ( response.equalsIgnoreCase("no"));
