do while loop not working

Hi, the code's not running. Can someone show me what i did wrong?

var randomNumber = getRandomNumber(10); var guess; var guessCount = 0; var correctGuess = false; function getRandomNumber( upper ) { var num = Math.floor(Math.random() * upper) + 1; return num; }

do { guess = prompt(' I am thinking of a number between 1 and 10. What is it?'); guessCount +=1; if (parseInt(guess) === randomNumber) { correctGuess = true; } } while( ! correctGuess ) document.write("You guessed the number!<h1>"); document.write("It took you + guessCount + "tries to guess the number " + randomNUmber");

var randomNumber = getRandomNumber(10);
var guess;
var guessCount = 0;
var correctGuess = false;

function getRandomNumber( upper ) {
  var num = Math.floor(Math.random() * upper) + 1;
  return num; }

do { guess = prompt(' I am thinking of a number between 1 and 10. What is it?');
    guessCount +=1;
    if (parseInt(guess) === randomNumber) {
      correctGuess = true;
      }
   } while( ! correctGuess )

   document.write("<h1>You guessed the number!</h1>");
    document.write("It took you " + guessCount + " tries to guess the number " + randomNumber);
  1. You were missing a <h1> in your first document.write and you need to add the / in </h1> to close it.
  2. In the second document.write you were missing a few " marks in places and you had a typo in random number.

That is all that needed to be done to get it working, hope I helped.

It looks like you have some misplaced punctuation (and a misspelling).

On your very last line you have this:

document.write("It took you + guessCount + "tries to guess the number " + randomNUmber");

But you probably meant to write this:

document.write("It took you " + guessCount + " tries to guess the number " + randomNumber);
