Do you need to create a company or have a website in order to sell apps on the App Store?

For example when you are starting to create an app in Xcode it ask for an organization name and organization identifier

You don't have to create a company to sell apps in the app store, all you need is to pay 99$ USD/year to be part of the Apple Developer Program, send them the App and let them review your code, if they accept it, you're ready to sell your App.

If you have a brand/organization name with a website you will be more trustworthy to pleople though.

Right, although I don't think it is required people will most likely trust a brand more then someone without a name (ie. no brand).
