document.getElementByID doesn't work

why does this not pass?

var fullName = document.getElementByID("full_name"); var lastName;

app.js
var fullName = document.getElementByID("full_name");
var lastName;
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<h1 id = "full_name"><span class="first_name">Andrew</span> <span class="last_name">Chalkley</span></h1>

<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

You are really close, but computers are not like horseshoes, it's got to be exact.

Your getElementByID should be getElementBy*Id*. It's just the capitalization.
