Does anyone experience difficulty typing between console and the file?

I am having hard time typing in the console. I had to get out of the workspace each time when want to go back to the console from the file.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. I'm sorry! I've filed a bug report and this should get fixed quickly. /cc Jim Hoskins

This was never fixed?

guess so, still happening to me

Yes. My problem is that I can't go back to console after the file so I had to get out of the workspace to type ruby hello.rb Is there anywhere I can report this problem??

Hi everybody, I'm trying to understand the problem so I can make it better. You should be able to click the terminal or the text editor to focus on it and begin using it. Is that not working?

We had an unrelated problem with the console 2 weeks ago that made it one character wide on windows that was fixed.

If you can, please leave a description of what you are trying to do, what is going wrong, and what browser and operating system you are using.

Thanks

Jim Hoskins what's happening is that we can't change focus back and forth between the console and the text editor. If the focus is on the console, when I click in the text editor, nothing happens. When I type it continues to enter characters into the console and vice versa.

Wow, this problem still is going on. I find that right clicking in each area gets focus better than left clicking.

Was this error ever fixed? My husband is doing the Ruby course and he is having this problem now, he took the Python one and didn't have any issues with the Workspace but it's happening now with the Ruby course.

I too am having trouble in that the console is just not accepting any letters typed on my keyboard other than s, a, e, and w. Any files however that I create are just fine.

I can't go back to typing in my file once I have used the console a couple of times. Just like some of the others here above.

The answer doesn't seem te be posted here.

What is going on?

Still experiencing this problem. Quite often that I can't go back and forth between text editor and console. View/Hide console does the trick but its getting annoying to do that every time. Is there an absolute fix for this yet?

I am having the same issues after starting with my php course
