Does {{ v-bind:key='card.flipped' }} automatically assigns different key values in loop?

I'm confused on assigning unique key value in loop.

I know that in order to apply <transition> effects to multiple elements with same tag, I have to assign unique key to each element. But how does Vue detect unique keys when elements are in a loop?
