Don't get it why background color doesn't work?

It's always turn that be sure to set background color...bla bla bla, so i don't get it, what i did wrong for the background color...

The challenge hints aren't always super helpful. Sometimes it incorrectly points to something that is only near the real problem.

Your background-color property is fine, the part that is missing is that the color property needs to be defined within the same #gallery li selector (to something other than #000). As well, the #gallery li p selection is unnecessary, though it won't cause the challenge to fail by being there.
