JavaScript jQuery Basics (2014) Creating a Mobile Drop Down Menu Setting a value

Don't understand this! - "setting a value" on Mobil drop down menu section

I used

$('#fullName').attr('value',fullName);

it put the name I entered and displayed on the form block. I don't understand the error message saying I have to use .val to do this. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Kawai,

You were nearly there!

Instead of the .attr you should use the .val method and simply pass it fullName.

Like this:

$('#fullName').val(fullName);

Elian

It seems both did the same thing, but they just wanted me to use the .val method instead? Thanks for your help.
