It would help if you posted a more detailed discussion of what you are struggling with. That said, it looks like you reversed your float and return:

def add(num1, num2):
    return float(num1 + num2)

Jason, I think treehouse is a great resource but the get help thing with the task and having to wait and the searching etc etc really doesn't seem to work very well.
