editing in xcode....block of code "highlighted" with a "1" pull down that has "discard changes"

When I trying to use the shortcut for help...I het the wrong set of keys and now have all my changes being tracked. How do I turn this OFF and ON. It seems to have something to do with Source Control...but I can't figure it out

If you remember they keys you pressed, try doing that again.

I "fat fingered" it...so I wasn't exactly sure how I got there.

The problem has been resolved. I believe I exited xcode and restarted. I unchecked "Enable Source Control" in XCode > Preferences > Source Control. I'm not sure I had to exit...but did anyway.
