Element does not hide();

I tested it with vanilla javascript and it works. =|

Simple mistake, I believe the below should solve your problem

$('.student-list').on('click', function(event) { $(event.target).hide(); });

Hi,

you are close. Just read the instructions very carefully. It literally tells you what you must do. I bolded the part you did not do.

Instructions for task 2:

Inside of your click handler, use jQuery to select event.target. Then call the hide() method on your selection. If your code >is correct, in preview mode the student names should disappear when clicked.
