Else not working

Hey guys , i am working on a project , i am using of and else statements but else is not working : Here is the code ->

//if fields are empty disable button

    if (fullnamegive == null || fathernamegive == null || dobgive == null || emailgive == null || numbergive == null) {
        start.setEnabled(false);
    }

    //Enable button and start

    else {
        //if fields are filled enable button

        start.setEnabled(true);
