emulator not showing Android homepage

When I open my emulator just the lettering Android in black background shows up and not the Android homepage screen

Hi Federico Somaschini The problem I think with your emulator is that the emulator is very heavy and needs RAM and Processor . So if your using Android Studio I prefer you to update to 2.1 because is a new emulator and is very good and fast if the problem remains you have to go with another emulator like GenyMotion
