Enums and Structs Task 3 of 4 - just can't get this to work! help?

I can see that others have had the same issue and some people have tried helping them, but the answers provided for them still do not work. Can anyone put this task to bed? Create a variable named item and assign it an instance of Expense (remember to use the initializer with the description parameter. Enter any description you like). On the next line assign the amount property a value of 100.

struct.swift
struct Expense {
    var description: String
    var amount: Double = 0.0

    init (description: String, amount: Double) {
        self.description = description
        self.amount = Double
    }

    func calculateTaxes (percentage: Double) -> Double {
      return (self.amount * (percentage/100))
}
}
var item = Expense(description: "Expensive")
self.amount(100)
