He must pause the video to correct the error. '$scope.todos = dataService.getTodos();' is not a function, it should be ' $scope.todos = dataService.getTodos;' (without the brackets at the end).
Easy mistake to make. People seem to be getting on his back in this thread, everyone makes mistakes. The point of being a good coder is evaluating your code and the code of others, not blindly copying, so if anything he's doing you a favour.
It's a hard subject, take a breath and try to solve the problem instead of getting mad and deciding he's a bad teacher!
