Hi,
I am getting constantly "Restart Challenge" error. Why is this happening?
# E.g. word_count("I am that I am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'am': 2, 'that': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.
# Using .split() on the sentence will give you a list of words.
# In a for loop of that list, you'll have a word that you can
# check for inclusion in the dict (with "if word in dict"-style syntax).
# Or add it to the dict with something like word_dict[word] = 1.

new_string_list = string.lower()
new_string_list = new_string_list.split()
my_dict = {}
for item in new_string_list:

822 PointsThis could be an issue with the Treehouse site and might be worth emailing them to notify as I see others also have the same issue.
I had a look at you code and it seem ok. Here is my variation, which passed. You could try using it but it should give the same result.
def word_count(s):
s_dict = {}
new_s = s.lower().split()
for word in new_s:
if word in s_dict:
s_dict[word] += 1
else:
s_dict[word] = 1
return s_dict
