Even my answer is perfect for word count question and verified in workspace and my local system, it is throwing error

My code for wordcount worked well in workspace and in my local system but its throwing error, can you help me out

wordcount.py 
# E.g. word_count("I do not like it Sam I Am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'do': 1, 'it': 1, 'sam': 1, 'like': 1, 'not': 1, 'am': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.

def word_count(phrase):

    return w_c

Bummer! Hmm, didn't get the expected output. Be sure you're lowercasing the string and splitting on all whitespace!

Hi there! The challenge is correct. You are not splitting on all whitespace. My guess is that in your workspace you didn't test any strings that contain tabs or newline characters. Those are also whitespace. Currently you are only splitting on spaces.

This is indicated by:

# this tells Python to split on spaces
split(' ')

To split on all whitespace (including things like tabs and newlines) you need:

# this tells Python to split on all whitespace
split()

Eliminating the argument from the split function causes it to split on all whitespace.

It has worked after removing the space as u suggested and it's taking care of all white spaces.
