Express Basics - Pug vs React

Hi Everyone,

I am learning the MERN stack and currently doing the express basics treehouse course. The course is covering PUG. My question, does REACT do the same as PUG e.g. view engine. If so is it worth learning PUG or just do what I need to do for the course?

REACT is a must learn for current projects in my company and ongoing SharePoint development. PUG is not really a requirement but i am not against learning something new.
