Thanks for you reply. I totally agree that the extra credit questions are worth. But I wasn't sure if I were doing it the right way, since I didn't see any notification or point awards.

The points are totally useless but psychological effect, it would be nice to see points being awarded for completing the extra credit question, since it is named "EXTRA CREDIT" question. As a UX point of perspective, it leads wrong message to the brain.

I thought the same at first tbh :D

Well the points are good in a way . But as now there are the answers like maybe everywhere, some people can just go and get like 30k in a day but its like a karate belt, the belt doesnt mean nothing, its there to hold up your grouses ( in a way its true , in a way )- As Bruce Lee said . If yuou know what i mean . Its like psychologically too i believe as its an award.

If you learn every day for at least 30 minutes , and get better every day. Buy your self a chocolate every weekend as a reward ro something that you wouldn't usually get , i don't know 5 pounds for a chocolate bar , a big one you really like but you can't really buy it coz its expensive? mae it an award. But expensive as 5 x 7 = 35 and bad health xd .

The extra credit doesn't actually translate to points or badges in treehouse. However, I would encourage you to still do them as I feel like that is where the real learning with this program actually happens. Because they ask you to actually apply what you just learned in a more realistic (but harder to auto-grade setting), you are more likely to hold onto that information into the future. They are also often little projects that will end up creating a nice portfolio for you to take with you to job interviews.

I agree, And you should make your own project straight away. Lets say your learning ermmm how to pay via paypal, make it again into your project.

Exactly! I have started doing this whenever I finish a module that I think would enhance my personal site, I try to jump over and implement it while the knowledge is still fresh. There are a few sections that I am re-watching because I didn't do this earlier.

What i did is i did a massive project and put everything there in my own words and i re-used it again when i made like 30 websites , practice ( mostly one page) i could refer to that one big project where i collected info , its like notes , but in project with comments.

Now as I'm in iOS development, its new and i can't really do what i did so i take just notes . Lo e.g if i want to remember how to make a character , a player , i take a note .eg. SKSpriteNode *palyer etc.. or how to do different physics , fades etc.. and this helps. The more i use them , the more i get familiar and i remember the most useful commands. Now I'm learning how to make a physics world game to learn physics so I'm just taking notes on how they work because its quite a bit of them .

Extra credit is just for you to re-enforce or try something new explore what you learned and put it on practice. It wouldn't give you any points. Points are less important but their nice , Nice motivation in a way.

:)
