71,830 PointsDavid, sorry, it's been a while since I did this class, but I don't remember any prior mention. I think he just expected you to have gone to the Failable Initializers page (https://developer.apple.com/swift/blog/?id=17) in the teachers notes and to have read it. Because the image may have been moved, and therefore not available to initialize the struct, the initializer needs to return nil, since it cannot return an image.
