filezilla remote site is empty?

I installed Wordpress with my hosting provider, but when I log into Filezilla the remote directory is empty except for an .ftpquota file. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Is there any httpdocs or plubic_html folder inside the root directory?

Thanks for reply - no there isn't. I can see them in c-panel, but not filezilla.

First of all check your firewall settings if something doesn't allow you to list the directories of your ftp. Then in the cPanel check if the ftp user privileges are ok. Last but not least try to change the transfer type of filezilla.
