For this task, make WifiLamp adopt the ColorSwitchable protocol. In the implementation of the method, simply set the col

new color?

protocols.swift
// Declare protocol here
protocol ColorSwitchable {
    func switchColor ( _ color : Color )
}

enum LightState {
    case on, off
}

enum Color {
    case rgb(Double, Double, Double, Double)
    case hsb(Double, Double, Double, Double)
}

class WifiLamp : ColorSwitchable {
    let state: LightState
    var color: Color
    func switchColor(color: Color) {
     //??????
    }

    init() {
        self.state = .on
        self.color = .rgb(0,0,0,0)
    }
}

Hi Ananya,

You're so close! I agree that the wording of this challenge could be a bit more clear. What it's asking is that your implementation of the switchColor method changes the lamps color to the color passed into the method. So if the method were called switchColor(red), the lamp's color would turn red. All you need to add to your code is setting the lamp's color to the local argument name color. Also, your method signature should match the protocol's, so add in the underscore again.

Let me know if this makes sense!

solution.swift
// Declare protocol here
protocol ColorSwitchable {
  func switchColor(_ color: Color)
}

enum LightState {
  case on, off
}

enum Color {
  case rgb(Double, Double, Double, Double)
  case hsb(Double, Double, Double, Double)
}

class WifiLamp: ColorSwitchable {
  let state: LightState
  var color: Color

  func switchColor(_ color: Color) {
    self.color = color
  }

  init() {
    self.state = .on
    self.color = .rgb(0,0,0,0)
  }
}
