29,881 PointsReturn needs to be inside the function to return the value generated by the function. Then you call the function and assign it to a new variable, like this:
function getYear() {
var year = new Date().getFullYear();
return year;
}
var yearToday = getYear();

23,288 PointsThe thing is that you're not returning anything from the function itself, so when you call it, it wont return anything
