I cant really understand what his trying to say here can someone explain me.

Hi Jhaycea,

For the first challenge, all you need to do is declare and initialize your Intent. Thus, you can remove the following line of code from your answer for the first challenge:

    String mFuelLevel = intent.StringExtra("FUEL_LEVEL");

For the second challenge, you're asked to include a default value of -1 (in this example, "FUEL_LEVEL" is the key, while -1 is the value), which is an integer. Keeping ints in mind for both the data type of the member variable and the method needed for the intent activity:

    int mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL", -1);
