Getting the contact form to work

On the simple PHP application, how would I actually get the contact form to send my email an email? I tried changing the email within the form from the @treehouse one to my won, but it never came through.

Do I need to change a setting on my server or anything like that? I am running MAMP and have it in htdocs and that all works. Just not sure if there's another setting or something I'm missing.

Hi anguswhiston,

I guess smtp server should be installed and setup. Please refer to the below link:

http://httpd.apache.org/mod_smtpd/install.html

Hope this is useful for you.

Thanks!

It's unlikely that your local server is able to send mail, however for some reason it worked for me with MAMP on mac.

Have you checked for any errors coming back from php mailer?
