Getting the current screen orientation of the device.

How can i get the current orientation of the device, using getOrientation() from SensorManager, but what do i pass to it? and can i store the values returned by get Orientation into another variable.? Are there any tutorials, which maybe helpful in this case. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.
