GitHub Extension and VisualStudio 2019 issue

Hi all,

I'm going through the asp lessons at the moment and despite a lot of changes with Visual Studio 2019 from the videos, the biggest issue I seem to have is using the Github extension. I can't find anything about this online but I have an issue where it sets my toolbar as follows and I can't seem to change it. It also seems to disable all of my 'properties' on any file I click on in solution explorer.
